Trying to capture the essence of a natural place through photography enhances the experience of being there. There’s nothing else that I’d rather be doing. I love the quietness and stillness of waiting for the perfect moment for the shot, scoping out an area for the best vantage point, and then seeing the way that the light can change a scene in just a few minutes.

 

The excitement, apprehension and thrill of not knowing what may be around the next corner, pretty much does it for me. The ever changing light adds to the excitement and that’s what I love about landscape photography. When I’m out in nature, I’m in my comfort zone, landscape photography is an ever-changing palette and motivates me to get out and shoot.
